Basketball is my life...I want to beat every level... |

Milica, although you're still young, you have experienced many international competitions. What was the most remarkable and outstanding for you? The most remarkable, for sure, was the European Championship U20 two years ago for B Division in Lithuania. My National Team took the golden medal. We were the youngest, so nobody thought we could beat such teams like Poland, Great Britain and Lithuania in the Final game. That was the first big experience for me on the National level.
You are a member of the senior Montenegro National Team, what can you say about your best memory playing at the National level? The Senior National Team played for the first time last year and I was in the team. We won all five games of classifications for A Division.
In the National Team you play with very good experienced players. Who impressed you the most when you joined the team? It was great experience to practice and play with such players like Milka Bjelica, Hajdana Radunovic. Also, in Buducnost I used to play with Iva Perovanovic and Ana Perovic. I am playing the same position as they play, so it was very good for me just to look them practicing. And there is Jelena Skerovic, a point gard, the one who is the top.
How did you feel playing your first seasons for the senior team of Buducnost, in WABL and also in the Eurocup? Last season my team used to play in the Eurocup and the WABL league. We had so many difficult games. In Fiba Cup, we were in one group with Galatassaray who later became the best team. In the WABL league, which was the strongest this year, we needed only one win to be among the first four. Anyway, every game was good and strong, so we are now better and stronger, for sure.
What are your ambitions for the future? Basketball is my life. Six years I am out of home, playing for Buducnost. I want to play in the best teams in Europe. I want to beat every level.
In which countries would you like to play? The country itself, which I like most is France. The best leagues are in Spain, Italy, and also in France. So, it could be great if I find my place in some teams from these countries.
Do you have any idol in basketball? Who do you think can be the pattern player in women's basketball in Europe? I do not have an idol, but I like some players from men's basketball, like Eliahy, Velickovic... In women's basketball there are some players from my country who are young and who play at the high level. The one of the best examples is Dubljevic Jelena. |
